This outstanding porchetta is made with succulent pork belly rolled with garlic, lemon and herbs. It's then scored and seasoned for perfectly golden crackling, and slow cooked for over three hours. Simply roast and serve with pork and apple jus. Use by date guaranteed until 2 Jan.

Preparation methods

Oven Method

90 mins - Oven 220°C / Fan 200°C / Gas 7

Needs cooking

Remove all packaging.

Preheat oven.

Place sachet to one side.

Drain juices into a jug.

Place the porchetta on a sheet of foil.

Wrap the base and both ends in foil, leaving the rind exposed.

Place onto a wire rack over a baking tray, pat joint dry and rub with salt.

Place tray in oven and cook for 45 mins.

Increase oven temperature to ELECTRIC 240°C / Fan 220°C / Gas 9.

Cook for 45 mins, turning tray frequently. For a crispier crackling, cook on further.

Remove from oven.

Add 5 tbsp of retained juices to sauce and heat.

Remove bands and carve joint into slices.

Stir sauce and serve with the pork.

Do not reheat

Storage information

Suitable for freezing. For Use By, see front of pack. Keep refrigerated 0°C to +5°C. This product may have been previously frozen and returned to chill temperature. Further freezing will not affect quality. Once opened, use immediately. Freeze by date mark shown and use within 3 months. Once defrosted (in a refrigerator) use immediately. Defrost thoroughly before use.
